England 4 Germany 2

As we approach the end of 2018 many memories and anniversaries greet us.

Nothing more significant than the end of the “war to end all wars”, 1914-1818, which claimed 19 million lives and 23 million serious injuries.

Worse, it laid a foundation for WW2, just 21 years later, which claimed 60 million more lives.

On Christmas Day 1914, to the displeasure of the German and English officers, many soldiers from both sides decided to play football.

It was the beginning of a long winning streak of Germans over the English, not to be reversed until 1966, when, as everyone remembers, a Russian linesman decided not to raise his flag, giving England a lucky win against against the plucky Crouts .

This Christmas ad from John Lewis has always been a classic.
This year, in 2018 it portrays a Elton John singing a song I first heard in an LP shop on 42nd St, NYNY, the year after woodstock.

Now 70, I'm getting back into website development and brand protection, as well as showcasing the delightful artistic talents of my beautiful wife Lynne. My projection will encompass a lifetime of database marketing, as well as the Christian democratic socialist ideals of my wife and I.
