A game of 2 halves

Isn’t football a fascinating game?
Today my team, Sheffield Wednesday, were losing at half time. And drawing until extra time.
But then they scored the winning goal!
Terrific for us.
But dreadfully disappointing awful for the defeated, Nottingham Forest.
I won’t cry tears for Forest. I have never in my life known any team in England achieve what they did under Brian Clough. They punched well above their weight to become champions of Europe twice, in 1979 and 1980.

They have memories which will never be equalled.
Only Real Madrid, Barcelona, Benfica, Milan, Internazionale, Ajax, Liverpool, and Manchester United have ever won the competition as many times!

God bless Brian Clough.

But today they were beaten by a classy footballing side. I’m delighted to support the best Sheffield Wednesday style I have ever seen. Click the soundtrack opposite of the final minute of Wednesday’s win.
