Goodbye England

Tonight England went out of this year’s World Cup, and that’s sad for me and many Anglophiles around the globe.

But regardless of their defeat by Uruguay my heart goes out to the 47 million Spaniards whose team was eliminated yesterday.
Spain, the World champions were eliminated after losing twice in the final preliminaries.

So tonight I cooked a tasty menu of paella in honour of a people that have brought much creativity to planet earth. I think of Di Stefano, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Placido Domingo, Julio Inglesias, and Andrés Segovia.

Only one team wins the World Cup.
It won’t be the Isle of Man, and it probably won’t be Uruguay.

But neither, unfortunately, will it be England.

Now 70, I'm getting back into website development and brand protection, as well as showcasing the delightful artistic talents of my beautiful wife Lynne. My projection will encompass a lifetime of database marketing, as well as the Christian democratic socialist ideals of my wife and I.
