From a Banana sandwich to a Thai curry

Eating habits in the UK have changed enormously since I was a boy. Then it was toast and jam for breakfast, followed by a 1/4 pint of free school milk (later to be stolen by milk snatcher Thatcher) and lastly a school dinner.

At the end of the day there was banana sandwiches for tea. All punctuated by football…reading the results in the Daily Express followed by a game in the school yard with coats as goalposts, and finishing with a full blown match at home, where the goal was the area of the combined coal houses of our’s and the next door neighbour’s.

Yesterday, on my 63rd birthday I had a BLT for breakfast (memories of US breakfasts in the 1960’s) followed by Indian vegetable samosas at lunch (memories of student curries in Leeds ) and ending with a Thai green curry (my favourite).

How eating habits have changed.

Now 70, I'm getting back into website development and brand protection, as well as showcasing the delightful artistic talents of my beautiful wife Lynne. My projection will encompass a lifetime of database marketing, as well as the Christian democratic socialist ideals of my wife and I.
