Thank you Carolyn…

Thanks Carolyn for reminding me of the power of poetry.

You caused me to search out the work of Holly McNish, a stand up poet I feature in this blog.

I found her words very powerful.

I’ve also learned for the first time the talent of Anna Chen, whose first public reading of her poem “Margaret Thatcher Died at the Ritz”, written on the day news broke that the former prime minister had died … at the Ritz! (12 April 2013).

I also discovered Lemn Sissay, a child of the the state.

Poetry condenses an acute perception into relatively few words just as effectively as a painter like Picasso or Monet condenses an acute perception into relatively few brushstrokes, both so that the audience – us – can share their perception.

Thank you Carolyn

Now 70, I'm getting back into website development and brand protection, as well as showcasing the delightful artistic talents of my beautiful wife Lynne. My projection will encompass a lifetime of database marketing, as well as the Christian democratic socialist ideals of my wife and I.
