My dear Jonathan and Alice
For the past few days I have focused on the good bad and ugly of infant behaviour, and how it can be improved.
But yesterday saw a massacre in a Colorado cinema ending in 14 dead, and many more injured. The massacre was orchestrated by a lunatic (albeit apparently intelligent) student drop out.
Lunatic influences are everywhere (look at my blog about how a class mate of your 5 year old cousin Verity tried to strangle her and other class mates) but the difference in the USA is that the problem can easily escalate to gun crime.
Do what you can to stop it.
Demonstrate, argue, be condescending.
There are 350 million legally owned guns in the US.
Is the US really such an immature society that they need to arm civilians to protect them from criminals?
It’s worth making it very difficult indeed for lunatics to arm themselves.
What if the 5 year old would be strangler had been able to get his hands on a pistol?
