Praying for Fabrice Muamba

As a student my closest brush with prayer was reciting before meals  “Rub a dub dub, thanks for the grub!”.
Although I have since got closer to the bigger issues in life it was with some surprise that I heard that following Fabrice Muamba’s collapse on the Tottenham football pitch last Saturday his fiancée exhorted everyone within earshot to pray for his recovery.

Fabrice’s heart didn’t beat for two hours following his collapse, so the chances of him pulling through were pretty slim.

Before sleep my wife prays every night for many things … currently comfort to the bereaved families in France and Belgium, safety to the NHS, and peace for family and friends as well as for those caught up in events in Syria.

Since my student days I have become more religious, and acknowledge that although many do not actively worship God they do feel, particularly when the chips are down, an affinity with The Almighty.

So why not pray for Fabrice Muamba?

There isn’t a better time than now.
Let me prime the pump…

“Our Father, which art in heaven…”

Now 70, I'm getting back into website development and brand protection, as well as showcasing the delightful artistic talents of my beautiful wife Lynne. My projection will encompass a lifetime of database marketing, as well as the Christian democratic socialist ideals of my wife and I.
