Family wreckers

Last week Marion Aspin died, in her late 70’s.
Why I write about her is that 37 years ago, when Marion was a young mum of 41, she witnessed the violent killing of her husband Derek, a sub-postmaster in Baxenden, in East Lancashire.

Derek had tried to protect his young family as the infamous Black Panther burgled the sub-post office to steal a handful of postal orders and stamps.

Thus a vibrant family was destroyed by a journeyman petty thief, who used the survival techniques learned as a conscripted soldier to further his shabby career.
Being bereaved is painful at any time, but when one’s partner is killed I can only imagine the awful devastation caused.

Thank God for www.victimsupport.org, which helps the survivors of violent crimes.
The funeral will be held at Accrington crematorium on  Friday 2nd March at 12.20 pm.

Now 70, I'm getting back into website development and brand protection, as well as showcasing the delightful artistic talents of my beautiful wife Lynne. My projection will encompass a lifetime of database marketing, as well as the Christian democratic socialist ideals of my wife and I.
