I remember that Dad had lost a finger in a pit accident, but he never had a hook did he?
On Monday Harriette was off school with an upset tummy – vomiting etc. And the next day she passed the bug onto Verity, so we had her with us all day yesterday. As always Lynne organised her with artwork and cooking all day long. Verity is a very bright girl, and has been placed on the gifted and talented register by the school, which means that teachers have to pay a bit more attention to her development, and make sure that she doesn’t become bored by being able to do class work easily. I recently had a message from Australia to tell me that one of Carl and Helen’s grandchildren had also been put on the gifted and talented register there (north of Sydney).
I was on the computer yesterday and found out that Phyllis Heglund was also on the internet at the same time, and she told me that Hilda Ingham’s funeral will be at Pinneroo at 4pm today (October 25). I think Dad,s body was interred there, but by now Hilda will be talking to Joe in Heaven (and with Fred and John Bowen. You remember Phyllis don’t you? She and her husband used to sing in Joy’s church.
